A technology focus area often supports other aspects of the organization (strategic planning, communications, fund development, operations, etc.). However, there are occasions where technology is the primary focus such as the need to bring together a core team to catalyze the development of a plan and implementation of technology in the organization.

Sample Three-Year Vision:

• We will have implemented a three-year technology plan.

Sample One-Year Goals:

• TRAINING: Develop a monthly technology training program for staff.
• TELEPHONE SYSTEM: Purchase and implement a new office phone system. 
• PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Provide each staff member with $750 in professional development funds annually to be applied to technical training of their choice.
