The financial management focus area is connected to every aspect of a nonprofit-- it sets the overall structure for how the organization manages finances (budget, bookkeeping, fundraising, costs, transparency.) 


Sample Three-Year Vision:

  • We will have a consistent process for reviewing and reporting on the financial health of our organization.

Sample One-Year Goals:

  • FINANCE COMMITTEE: Establish an effective staff and board finance committee. 
  • ACCOUNTING SYSTEM: Successfully migrate our financial data to a new accounting system. 
  • BOARD MEMBER: Recruit at least one new board member with financial expertise.
